Wilson Contractors has the latest in GPS machine control technology which can be utilised in both bulk earthworks and civil road construction. Designs are produced in a format that can be efficiently exported into machine control, onsite works are completed efficiently and to high accuracy with as-builts and site measures being mapped as the work progresses, ensuring accurate and up to date records and quantities are available at all times.

Our range of smaller plant, including 1.5 through to 5 tonne excavators, track crawlers and 3 tonne loaders back up and finish off the more detailed work that our larger plant can start.
Wilsons are fully qualified and experienced at rock blasting and are able to drill, blast and remove rock from practically any construction site.
Wilson Contractors have been awarded and have completed several high profile cycle and walking tracks for Department of Conservation, Local government, Private developers and Charitable trusts.
We have the plant and expertise to complete total track construction including tree felling, clearing vegetation, drainage improvements, water-tabling, rock blasting, culvert installation and surfacing with both imported and onsite gravels. In order to efficiently spread gravel, we have our own purpose built bottom dump trailers, track crawlers, 5 ton trucks, loaders or even by helicopter if necessary.
Wilson Contractors operates two Astec directional drill units. They both have their own drilling fluid support trucks. One drill is capable of drilling up to 120m whilst the other can reach a distance of 60m. Both drill heads can be guided and tracked both horizontally and vertically. Wilson Contractors have experienced operators and have completed numerous numerous trenchless projects including watermains, sewermains, power ducts and telecom ducts.
We also run a hydro excavation unit for non destructive location of services. The vacuum unit is also used for carting away the surplus drilling fluid from site.
Wilsons have an in-depth knowledge of the farming industry and have experience working on many stations within the Wakatipu Basin conducting a variety of tasks, including; air strips, hay and wool cartage, lane construction and maintenance, graveling farm tracks, culverts, effluent ponds, water schemes and construction of water storage ponds.
Our Kingston quarries produce an exciting shist building stone. From a base colour of almost khaki through to warm browns, dark greys and quartz lined stones, Kingston stone blends in beautifully with natural settings, its more traditional rustic form can provide a stunning textural contrast when used with contemporary materials and design.
Our Quarries also produce all grades of gravel suitable for roading, drainage, building and landscaping.
